Prints inspired by heritage, nature, and craftmanship.

Growing up as a first-generation immigrant in the UK, my art is driven by a desire to deeply reconnect with my heritage. Inspired by Chinese aesthetics, my practice breathes new meaning into my background, creating new possibilities for it to be seen.

Nature plays a vital role in my inspiration. I spend a lot of time gardening, watching plants sprout, bloom, wither, and eventually grow back again. The more time I spend in the garden, the more I realize that I am part of this same cycle. This quiet connection with the earth brings me a profound sense of healing.

My work begins with deep research and sketching. During this stage, I consciously remind myself to slow down and tune into the natural flow of my craft. Printmaking has taught me to embrace the human touch and the inherent imperfections in what I create. Printmaking is not only about the finished piece, but also about the surprises that happen along the way. That unpredictability made me feel more creative.
